ॐ guided meditation
Meditation is a way to access the stillness and equanimity within, that genuine space inside all of us where we feel in harmony, where we come into alignment with the world. It is this deep connection that enables us to maintain our clarity and understanding, helping us to find our peace. In this class participants are gently guided through the process of physical, mental and energetic relaxation.

- seated meditation (in the Studio or at your location)
- walking meditation (Riverbend Ponds Natural Area)

haṭhayoga
These classes emphasize strength and balance with meditation and full-yogic breathing. Spinal integrity and body alignment are practiced as each posture is held for an extended period of time, from 5 breaths up to several minutes per pose.

vinyāsa
Breath-synchronized movements help us to peel off tension in the body and mind, revealing freedom of movement and freedom of spirit. Based on the Ashtanga tradition, the sequences are powerfully buoyant and flowing.

restorative yoga
Many props are utilized to support the body in passive stretches. Postures are held for extended lengths of time, usually between three and up to fifteen minutes per pose. Most of the yin postures are sitting or lying, and are meant for complete relaxation and rejuvenation.

specialty classes
The classes can be modified to address a student’s interests, current health status, personal goals, etc. Please feel free to make requests for special considerations. We can also modify the class sequence to emphasize specific postures (e.g. a back-bending or hip-opening), or create specialty classes to meet the needs of the students (Pre-Natal, Children’s Yoga, Physical Limitations, etc.)
