We strive for a comprehensive teaching of yoga, meditation and healthy living.

The Yoga Shala is a community place for learning and growth.

Our teaching style draws from various traditions and ancient wisdoms, delivered with contemporary style and translation. Beyond the forms and traditions, focus is on the essence of yoga which is an instrument to reveal a greater sense of harmony and serenity.

A holistic lifestyle approach offers a well-rounded and authentic curriculum. Students learn self-healing techniques and find depth in their practice through these sequences. Spinal integrity and alignment are emphasized.

All students are welcome, beginner to advanced. Posture modifications are offered so students may find the desired level of intensity for their practice.

Join us as we take an in-depth look at meditation, eastern philosophies and yoga asana practice. Build community and feed your mind, body and soul as you journey to the center of your being. In the Yoga Teacher Certification Course you will find space and freedom to deepen your physical health and your soul truths. Upon completion of the course, you will receive your RYT-200 and may register with the Alliance as an Internationally Recognized Yoga Teacher.

While eclectic and contemporary, our approach is strongly rooted in the philosophical teachings and scriptures that have been handed down through the generations. Our programs take a comparative approach to topics related to spirituality, exposing students to a vast array of concepts, theories and traditions. In this way students may mesh what they find relevant into yoga that is meaningful to them. We also draw on various natural health practices to offer a well-rounded and authentic curriculum. Particular emphasis is placed on a holistic approach, spiritual awareness, energetic awareness including Chakra systems, meditation, earth medicine, artistic expression, ethnobotany, herbalism, dietetic health, yoga as medicine, Ayurveda, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, Sanskrit, Seva work / community involvement and sustainable natural living.

Additional special topics include Living Meditation, Yoga for Prenatal, Children, Special Needs, mental health, and more!
